Active Spotlight: Matt Swanson, 1799
Matt Swanson is a junior studying mathematics and currently serves as President of the Tau Sigma chapter. On campus, he’s a university employee working for the math department in Carver as a grader, tutor, and help room employee. In the active chapter, he has served as VP of Scholarship, Executive Vice President, Kai Committee Member, Risk Manager.

Greetings from the active chapter! My name is Matt Swanson and I am the chapter president for the 2014 calendar year. I’m a junior in Mathematics and have been an active member since January 20th, 2012. Coming off a successful fall at Tau Sigma, we are even more motivated to push ourselves further this spring!

2013 Year in Review

2013 Homecoming Recap
Jake Swanson, Tau Sigma 1811,was crowned 2013 Iowa State University Homecoming King. Congratulations to Brother Swanson for this achievement and for representing Tau Sigma on the university level.

Summer 2013 Update
Tau Sigma’s last semester was another great step towards a bigger and brighter future for the chapter. Striving for academic excellence, the chapter’s actives posted a 3.06 GPA, with the overall house GPA being a 2.84.
