It is not possible for me to identify my favorite memory from the time spent at 2120 Lincoln Way – there are simply too many. That being said, several that stand out include:

  • Late night talks in the white M&M’s
  • Saturday football tailgates that lasted until the evening (thanks to fellow social chair Steve Gallagher)
  • Dropping out of formal rush early because the house had reached full capacity
  • Attending basketball games and witnessing the start of Hilton Magic
  • Having 27 guys staying in one house (trailer) for the Big 8 basketball tournament in Kansas City
  • The incredible feeling to see Kirk Luther holding my paddle during “activation”

While in the House, I served as Rush Chairman, Social Chairman and Little Sister Coordinator. Across the street I served as Business Manager for the VEISHEA Publicity Committee and Appreciation Night Coordinator for Greek Week.

After graduating from Iowa State in 1986, I moved to Kansas City with Kent Luther. I would like to think that Kent and I served as a launching point for other Tau Sigma’s who have at one time or another called Kansas City home. Next, I went on to study at Kansas State University and Washburn University School of Law.

I married my wife Deanna in 1996 and we lived in Kansas City until 2002 before moving to Wayne, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia). We have been blessed with two boys – Harrison (15) and Charlie (13). Today, my work efforts are spent running my own business – Click Canyon. We provide online marketing and website design services for small businesses.

My service on the TSAA began shortly after the Centennial Celebration in 2005. The best part about serving on the TSAA is watching the chapter restore itself to a position of strength and leadership at Iowa State and within the Greek system.

What I cherish most about the Beta house at Iowa State is the incredible friendships that were made. While time and distance serve to separate many of us, there always exists that common bond which is strong yet today. A bond that can only be appreciated if you have ever called 2120 Lincoln Way home.
