Beta Theta Pi: Tau Sigma Induction Spring 2014

Beta Theta Pi: Tau Sigma Induction Spring 2014

Brothers,

Greetings from the active chapter! My name is Matt Swanson and I am the chapter president for the 2014 calendar year. I’m a junior in Mathematics and have been an active member since January 20th, 2012. Coming off a successful fall at Tau Sigma, we are even more motivated to push ourselves further this spring!

This January we initiated 15 new men into our brotherhood, putting our chapter at roughly 40 active members. More recently, we inducted almost 30 new pledge members this February, putting our organization at roughly 70 total members! Because of these great strides in the growth of our overall membership we have begun to reach capacity as a house in terms of members living in.

Looking ahead to this semester, our executive team went to Chicago for a weekend of leadership training at the Beta sponsored Keystone Conference. Following that, we are quickly moving into our Greek Week competitions in mid-March. This semester marks our first semester as a competitive large house since 2005, and we are very excited to be paired with the women of Delta Zeta. We hope we can take the momentum of our 3rd place finish in Homecoming last semester and compete for some awards and recognition this spring.

All of the undergraduates here are filled with Beta spirit as we continue to pursue our goal of developing men of principle for a principled life while working hard to make our fraternity the best house on campus.

Yours in __kai__
