Bill Maakestad, Iowa State ‘77, has been an instrumental part in keeping the fraternity around during its recolonization. His financial contributions have directly impacted the undergraduates and chapter house over the greater part of a decade, and Iowa State is now one of the top fraternities on campus thanks to him. He says, “I kept my head to the grindstone, but was never involved in running the chapter in an fashion.
“That’s why later in life I wanted to pay something back to the Fraternity in terms of helping them through their challenging period. It’s a great house at ISU where I always felt at home. I hope it can regain the best it has to offer – where education and brotherhood can live side by side.”
Thank you for your continued support, Brother Maakestad.
